Welcome to 1 Passion For Travel!

My name is Susan, and I have always dreamt of exploring the world. Even as a little girl, I remember telling my parents the places I wanted to visit, but their response was often “honey, only rich people get to go there”. That was the perception of travel that I grew up with. I don’t think my parents were trying to crush my dreams, but rather, protect me from disappointment, as they truly believed that you needed to be wealthy to travel abroad, and so, for many years, I believed that as well.

I was able to see much of the United States, parts of Canada, Mexico, and a couple of Caribbean Islands, but it wasn’t until my 40th birthday that I made my first trip to Europe. That trip changed my life. I then made it a priority to pursue my passion to see the world! I set a goal to visit 60 countries by the time I turned 60, never really believing that I could achieve that. Well, I achieved my goal by the time I turned 54. As of 2024, I have been to 82 countries. The reality is, that it takes time and money to travel, and I certainly am not wealthy, but I make travel a priority. My mission is to inspire others to see the world, and to share my experiences to help you pursue your 1 passion for travel.
